So you want to know more about the men behind the ’fish?
Mike Fish

From a very early age Mike had distinct leanings towards music and the arts. An affinity for the guitar and a talent as a strummer-of-songs were evident from the start. However his uncanny singing ability only came to light more recently. A veritable vocal chamaeleon, not only can Mike hold a tune but he can switch from a maudlin Morrissey to a popped-up Paul Heaton in the flip of a fish’s tail.
Claim to fame: Kicked in the head by a stage-diving Jean Jacques Burnell at a Stranglers gig.
Leigh Fish

Leigh has never claimed to be the greatest guitarist in the world, Yorkshire, or even Hull – but he is almost certainly the nicest. When he is not being creative, artistic and sensitive making music with which to bless the world [Leigh wrote this bit by the way] he works for our glorious NHS in the caring profession.
Leigh has graciously taken upon himself the role of band promoter and tour manager. Being the only member of the band in secure public-funded employment means he can nick off early and spend afternoons doing field research around local hostelries, seeking out suitable venues where the band can play.
Claim to fame: Best mates with someone who used to know China Crisis.
Dunc Fish

“Big” Dunc started his musical career playing the recorder at the tender age of eight. Experimentation with a variety of stringed instruments followed, and in the late nineties he agreed to swap his six string for a bass until his band at the time could find a proper bass player. The rest (as they say) is rock ’n’ roll history.
Claim to fame: Once sold a newspaper to Morrissey.
Sime Fish

Despite his obvious intelligence (Sime has more documentary proof of intellect than any other ’fish) and a distinct lack of aggressive tendencies, Sime is remarkable drummer. As the back seat driver of the band, he certainly knows how to put the rattle into Rattlefish.
Claim to fame: In the late Eighties was mistaken for various members of Hull heroes the Housemartins on a weekly basis.
